James Hopkins was a highly valued member of the DFR Roofing Ltd who, having left our company to join another local contractor, sustained life threatening injuries after an horrific fall whilst carrying out roofing works.
James’ condition was critical to say the least, being kept in an induced coma in an attempt to aid his recovery form brain damage and facial damage incurred as a result of the accident.
Whilst the initial diagnosis was concerning particularly for his family, James eventually started to show signs of recovery giving hope to all around him. This recovery continued slowly but surely over many months, and is one which will be a continual path throughout James’s future.
James’s condition and the plight of his family touched the hearts of his DFR colleagues. The result was that the roofing teams chipped in and raised thousands of pounds to be given to James and his family to help his rehabilitation and the spiraling costs which inevitably follow after such a serious accident.
James continues to make a steady recovery, and has called into the office for chats and to catch up on life in the roofing world. We wish him and his family well, and continue to support and follow his recovery.

I would just like to say how impressed I was with the young man who came. He was very polite, helpful and obliging. I will certainly use DFR again if we need and roofing repairs. Thank you.

Jason and Mark have now finished, having done an excellent job for me. They kept me informed throughout, answered my questions, and invited me to have a look for myself when they had finished. It was a pleasure to have them here….thank you DFR for your services.
